According to Le Dauphine, on Saturday, the 27th of July 2019, 45 people were evacuated from the Mont-Blanc tunnel after a vehicle emanated smoke.
At 9:14 pm, the firefighters intervened in the Mont-Blanc tunnel in the direction Italy-France, to check on a vehicle on fire.
45 people were evacuated to the shelters. Nobody was injured.
