On 4 June 2020, at around 9.30 am, a truck carrying bulk parcels caught fire in the ascent of the Mont-Blanc tunnel, just above the lookout roundabout.
The Chamonix firefighters intervened to put out the fire. Fortunately, the driver was not injured, nor was anyone else.
The origin of the fire's start remains unknown at this time.
