Given the current weather conditions, the access road to Col des Montets has been closed since yesterday, 7 December 2021 at 11 p.m.
Note that the avalanche risk of 4 out of 5 will reach its paroxysm between sunrise and late morning.
So the col should not remain closed for a good part of this Wednesday 8 December.

Access is possible via the railway (and road) tunnel, which is open to traffic. Passage through the tunnel is regulated by an automated barrier ensuring 100m separation between vehicles.
