Mont-Blanc: Five mountain interventions performed by the PGHM

Monday 4 April 2022, the rescuers of the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) performed five rescue operations.

The day started with a first rescue operation of a 25-year-old man on the Aiguille du Midi ridge, who had suffered a leg injury.

According to Le Dauphine, the second intervention took place in the Vallée Blanche to evacuate a 34-year-old woman with knee trauma.

Around 12:00 p.m., the mountain rescue helicopter took the direction of Contamines-Montjoie to recover a 40-year-old skier suffering from shoulder trauma.

Then at 1:00 p.m. in the Balme ski area, a 60-year-old woman had to be evacuated to Sallanches hospital for a double trauma, facial and cervical.

Finally in the early afternoon, a rope technically blocked in the Vent du Dragon route at the Aiguille du Midi was guided and finally descended to the helicopter base.
