The sun is out today for the last day of the year, and the world didn't end 10 days ago. Combined with an awesome snow coverage the Chamonix valley is looking at a great start to 2013.
The weekend that just happened was pretty awesome, with sunny skies, and good snow everywhere. Saturday was a good day to lap up what was left from Thursday night's windy snow storm, with better visibility than Friday, and the opening of the top lift of the Brevent with some great untracked wind-packed powder. The pistes are almost all open and well-groomed at the moment, but its a very busy week out there on the slopes. Don't forget we have 6 different ski areas available, though, including Courmayeur on the Italian side... This spreads people out a bit.
Tomorrow there is snow in the forecast, and then some good weather for later in the week, so there will be some more excellent skiing ahead for us, and some amazing views from the top of the Midi cable car.
