Both candidates, Eric Fournier and Eric Lassere, campaigned on the basis of change. With 53.94% of the vote, Fournier's list won a decisive victory, winning 23 out of the 29 local seats. The other 6 went to Lassere's list. On learning of his victory, the 42 year old mayor elect added, "It's a decisive victory, even though everyone was incited to vote against me" (referring to the slogan "Anything but Fournier.)" Les Houches has re-elected Patrick Dole as Mayor. His major project is to redevelop the centre of Les Houches village.
