The Grands Montets sector: Brand new cables. As soon as the area closes on 11 May, work will begin to replace the 3 cables that carry the Grands Montets cable cars. As a result, the area will open for the summer on the morning of Saturday 5 July and is scheduled to close on 7 September in the evening. Brévent-Flégère: The future is on the move. The lynch pin of the Brévent renovation programme, the replacement of the Planpraz gondola will be carried out this summer, which will require us to close our lifts in this sector on 27 April in the evening until Christmas 2008. Greater comfort: space for 8 seated in summer and 10 standing in winter More skiing: an increase in capacity from 1350 to 3000 people per hour. The Charamillon gondola and the Autannes chairlift open their doors on the morning of Saturday 14 June and close in the evening of Sunday 7 September. The opening period of the Vallorcine gondola is being extended from Saturday 28 June till Sunday 31 August, which should please mountain bike fans, as well as those who enjoy nature rambles through the forest. The Aiguille du Midi: Continues to operate whilst work is in progress. Work to restructure the station is now under way an ambitious development project with reception areas, and a new layout for the station with 2000 m2 of customer space. The cable car will remain open the whole time the work is in progress. The autumn closure of the Aiguille du Midi cable car is scheduled for Sunday 9 November in the evening. Day-trippers are reminded that the Helbronner link is open from the morning of 21 March till the evening of 18 May and from 24 May till the evening of 21 September. The Montenvers Railway celebrates its 100 year anniversary of taking passengers to the Mer de Glace all summer. Le Tramway du Mont-Blanc summer opening between 14 June and 21 September is confirmed.
