Bonnet is eight time champion of France in ski mountaineering, holds the record for the Patrouille des Glaciers will attempt the Mont Blanc record with Matteo Eydallin, two time winner of the Pierra Menta. The team will start from the Saint Michel church in the centre of town on the 30th. The record to beat is 5h10 and 14sec held by Swiss Pierre-André Gobet from 1990. The record was almost beat in 2003 by Stéphane Brosse and Pierre Gignoux with a time of 5h15.
