After strikes and protests on the 4th April in Sallanches, the work force at the Dynastar factory have been pretty quiet, but according to one worker, “the factory is like a barrel of gun powder waiting to explode.” This explosion could very well be provoked by the election of a new CEO. The position has been vacant for the last six months. Representatives from the Rossignol group do not wish to comment on this subject. "The pot is boiling over! We have to calm ourselves down daily. We are sick of seeing our co-workers fired one after the other and we are worried about the future of the company.” Ninety workers are to be let go and 32 positions relocated before this autumn. Hopefully, some of these positions will be saved as a result of negotiations to be held on 10 July. Last April, 1500 people demonstrated on the streets of Sallanches to show their support to the Dynastar workforce.
