Reopening of the RN 205: the Egratz

Following a fall of 2 to 3 cubic meters of earth and rock, the experts who examined the wall on Wednesday indicated the need to install new nets of 30 meters long and 15 meters high. So after a purge of the cliff, the laying of nets will start today (Thursday) and continue until Saturday. Meanwhile, Egratz will remain closed but yesterday (Wednesday), at 5:40 PM, a solution was found for the traffic on the RN 205. To descend to Sallanches, motorists have to descend by the viaduct, i.e. the uplink. In conclusion, traffic is restored to Geneva, but under very specific conditions: the speed limit is 70 km/h for cars and 50 km/h for trucks. The reopening of the normal White Road will not happen before Saturday. Radio Mont Blanc
