Like last year, two team won the prize for the best ascent of the year "Ice Axes/Piolets d'Or 2010". The first team, two Japanese climbers, Yasushi Okada and Katsukata Yokoyama, were awarded for the amazing "line" in the south face of Mount Logan (5,959 m) in Canada. The second Piolet d'Or was given to the members of the team "Big Walls Greenland" and for their incredible big wall routes starting from their boat used as base camp.
