Mont Blanc to the UNESCO heritage

Last winter, there was a sensational announcement by President Sarkozy in La Clusaz, asking for the Mont Blanc massif to be ranked as a UNESCO World Heritage site. He specifically asked the Minister for Ecology, Nathalie Kosciusko Morizet, to take care of it. 8 associations have now had meetings with the Ecology Department on the issue, and although there is as yet still no significant breakthrough, another meeting has been scheduled for the autumn. Meanwhile, international talks with Switzerland and Italy should start soon on the same subject. Radio Mont Blanc
