After a lengthy investigation and manhunt by the gendarmerie in Chamonix, the sexual predator who had been assaulting people for over a year in the Bois du Bouchet was arrested Friday. The aggressor is a 21 year old Chamoniard who increased his activity in the beginning of September, allowing the gendarmes to get a more detailed description of him. After being placed in custody, he confessed to to some 40 odd displays of public nudity, three sexual assaults and corruption of minors 11 to 15 years of age. At court in Bonneville on Saturday, the suspect was placed under judicial control with restricted movements as well as mandated psychological care. The judge has opened an investigation to see how to further proceed with this affair.
