Other officials have pointed out that the "4 hour package" of 38.50€ is nearly the price of a day pass, 43.50 €. For the future, the Mayor of Chamonix (Eric Fournier) has asked the "Compagnie du Mont Blanc" to establish a multi-annual plan over the next 3 years. At the same time, the "Compagnie du Mont Blanc" is talking about a 100 million euros investment plan to renew lifts, 30 million euros of which before 2018.
