The 2017-2018 winter season is officially launched! Mont-Blanc Natural Resort announced the opening of the ski areas of the Chamonix Valley (partial) and continuously from this Friday 8th December 2017!
Opening of the Chamonix valley ski areas
- Every day from Friday 8th December 2017:
The Grands Montets Ski area
Open every day from Friday 8th December 2017.
Lifts Open:
- Argentière-Lognan cable car;
- Plan Joran gondola;
- Marmottons chair-lift;
- Tabé chair-lift;
- Bochard gondola.
Pistes Open: Bochard, Marmottons, Coqs, Liaison plan joran, Pierre à ric.
- Every day from Saturday 9th December 2017:
Brévent Ski area
Lifts Open:
- Planpraz gondola;
- Parsa chairlift;
- Funi 2000 / Brevent cable car, only for pedestrian visitors.
Pistes Open: Combe des Vioz, Stade, Retour Planpraz, Combe 2000
La Flégère Ski area
Lifts Open:
- Flégère cable car;
- Index chair-lift;
- Trappe chair-lift.
Pistes Open: Pylônes, Trappe, Libellules.
Le Tour Balme Ski area
Lifts Open:
- Charamillon gondola
- Autannes chair-lift
Pistes Open: Caisets, Liaison Balme, Retour Charamillon, Solonges (lower section), Ecuries.
Les Houches Ski Resort
Lifts Open:
- Prarion gondola,
- Mélèzes chair-lift / Kandahar chair-lift.
Pistes Open: Aillouds (900m vertical with return to resort on skis), Col de Voza, Kandahar (intermediary section), Chamois, La Cha, Tétras.
Tourist attractions
Aiguille du Midi cable-cars: reopening 18th December 2017.
Montenvers Mer de Glace: open (Ice grotto & gondola access reopening 20th December 2017).
Tramway du Mont-Blanc: reopening 16th December 2017
The ski areas will open more facilities and ski slopes according to the snow conditions of the next days.
