Chamonix's amazing summer jazz festival is about to begin. More than 25,000 people are expected in the next nine days.
The organiser Andre Manoukian promises us an extraordinary human adventure by discovering amazing landscapes and different mountain locations in a blend with dizzying cosmic sounds.
From 25th July to the 2nd August, the 6th edition of Cosmojazz will take place in some of Chamonix’s and Trient's most iconic locations, such as Montenvers, Brevent, the Aiguille du Midi, Lac Blanc, or the Grand Montets. The first two days will run in Switzerland at the Balade Bisse and Emmosson Dam. During 9 days of festival you will have the possibility to enjoy 25 free amazing concerts in altitude, selected for their majestic panoramas.
The festival encompasses 3 different atmospheres: concerts in altitude during the day, then from early evening (6pm) a series of smaller concerts will be performed in bars around Chamonix, and around 9pm Cosmo Jam' sessions until the end of the night.
The Cosmo Jazz Festival mixes big names from the world of jazz with a number of other inimitable artists, among them Guillaume Perret & The Electric Epic, Mohamed Abozekry, Yom, Dreisam, Jungle by Night and many others.
This summer 2015 will keep the audience on the edge with a set of jazz trends delivered with intuition and real gusto. Come enjoy live music and exceptional panoramas! Do not forget to buy a lift pass!
