Work will be done on the Route Blanche from Monday, the 15th of April 2019.
Consequently, drivers will have to be patient as there will be two-way traffic from the Châtelard tunnel to the viaduct, for a total of 7 kilometres.
The company Autoroute et Tunnel du Mont-Blanc will change the corbellings, an investment which amounts to 3.3 million euros.
ATMB wants to warn drivers that the circulation might be slowed down in this sector during Easter weekend.
ATMB advises to particularly avoid the peak times in the direction of Italy on the 18th of April, between 2 pm and 6 pm, on the 19th of April, between 8 am and 4 pm.
In the direction of France, it is advisable to avoid the viaduct on the 22nd of April, between 3 pm and 8 pm, on the 27th of April, between 4 pm and 8 pm and on the 28th of April, between 5 pm and 8 pm.
Driving on the Route Blanche viaduct during these periods is expected to last more than one hour.
The works on the Route Blanche viaduct will last until the 5th of July 2019.
After the summer, work will resume from the 2nd of September until the 8th of November.
