Today, the 28th of June 2019, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc has announced that the Panoramic Mont-Blanc gondola will reopen on Sunday, the 30th of June 2019.
Since the Eleanor storm has damaged the Panoramic Mont-Blanc gondola, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc has been working hard to restore it in due time.
A very ambitious reconstruction plan was set in motion last year which, unfortunately, compromised the summer season of 2018.
CMB wanted to reopen the Panoramic Mont-Blanc gondola in May or at the beginning of June, but the unfavourable weather conditions did not allow it.
The Panoramic Mont-Blanc will reopen on Sunday morning, the 30th of June 2019.
"A once in a lifetime trip!", declared the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc. "As of Sunday next, take a seat on the Panoramic Mont-Blanc gondola from the summit of the Aiguille du Midi to the Pointe Helbronner & onwards into Italy via the “Skyway” down to Courmayeur."
