On 5 October 2019, the Mont-Blanc Express train started circulating again between Chamonix and Vallorcine.
The Mont-BLanc Express has a history of over 110 years and on June 2018, the mayor of Chamonix, Éric Fournier, announced extensive renovation works on the railway for 2019/2020.
After a month of interruption due to maintenance work, the Mont-Blanc Express trains function again between Chamonix and Vallorcine.
Remember that the part Le Fayet-Chamonix is still under construction and will reopen on 8 November 2019.
In the meantime, SNCF offers alternative coaches.
