The draw for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France designated Grenoble as the opponent of the Pioneers of Chamonix.
The match took place on October 22nd 2019, at the Richard Bozon ice rink and, unfortunately, the Pioneers did not manage to prevail.

Grenoble wins with 4 goals to 1 and joins the knockout stages.
"We had a difficult first period despite our first goal. The Chamoniards played hard to come back, which they managed to do. Then we knew that with our bench depth, if we played 60 minutes it would pay, which we did. But it was not necessarily easy ... Chamonix plays well, the players are well, they are fast and require the defenders to react very quickly", declared Kyle Hardy, a Grenoble defender.
