Chamonix-Mont-Blanc: Ski Season is Launched

In their press release from 4 December 2019, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc has announced that due to recent snowfall, cold conditions and dynamic work of their teams, the first ski areas will open on the upcoming weekend, the 7th & 8th of December. 

The ski areas that will open:

Grands Montets: Friday, December 6th 2019

  • Lift opening: Plan Joran gondola, Tabé chairlift, Bochard gondola, Herse chairlift
  • Open slopes: Bochard Haut, Bochard Bas, Marmottons, Roosters, Tabé and Combes.


Brevent: Saturday, December 7th 2019

  • Lift opening: Planpraz gondola, Cornu chairlift, Parsa chairlift, 2000 ski lift, Funi 2000
  • Open slopes: Combe des Vioz, le stade, Retour Planpraz, plateau 2000, Le Cornu.

The Brévent cable car is under preparation, opening on December 21st.


Balme "Tour-Vallorcine", Flégère, Les Houches and Megève: opening scheduled on December 14th.

Aiguille du Midi: opening schedule on December 14th.
