In the international context of the coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic, all French ski resorts have been closed & many competitions & events have been cancelled, such as the Unlimited Festival.
However, according to utmbmontblanc.com, the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc still stands.
"Dear community, fellow runners,
This is obviously a very challenging time for us all. We are thinking of all of you, citizens of the world, mothers and fathers, children, grandparents, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles, friends. There is no doubt that together we will overcome this challenge", commenced the UTMB® their latest press-release, dated 20 March 2020.
The legendary trail-running event, scheduled from August 24 to 30, 2020, still stands. "With more than 5 months left before the event, neither the date nor the organization of the UTMB® Mont-Blanc are in question".
However, the UTMB® has announced that they would be monitoring the situation, follow the advice & protocols given by health authorities & the government, and let everyone know of any possible changes, in due time.
"We hope to see you all in August!", declared the UTMB®.
