The Chamonix valley is starting to wake up from lockdown isolation as we go into June with sunny skies and stunning views.
It has been warm and sunny most days recently, and hiking season is definitely on. Currently there is still snow above 2000m in the mountains, but in places it is disappearing fast. Climbing and mountain biking is on too, and the Aiguille du Midi and the Montenvers will be opening daily again soon, all with certain health restrictions due to the Covid-19 virus.
All being well, travel restrictions should lift a bit more in the next few weeks, in time for the summer tourist season. The valley of Chamonix is certainly looking amazing right now!
