The gendarmes of the PGHM of Chamonix were very busy on 6 August 2020. They carried out no less than 8 mountain rescue missions.
The gendarmes had to rescue people suffering from various conditions, such as a sprained ankle, malaise and fatigue. These rescue missions carried out by the PGHM of Chamonix were not very serious.
However, there were more serious cases, such as a 70-year-old woman who fell on a trail in Les Houches. She suffered a cervical trauma and a head injury.
Then, a 33-year-old paraglider made an emergency landing near the Plan Praz gondola. He was evacuated to Sallanches hospital via helicopter.
