Monday 10 January 2022, the rescuers of the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) carried out four rescue operations using the Dragon 74 civil security helicopter.
The first intervention took place in the middle of the morning. the gendarmes of Chamonix PGHM had to take care of a 43-year-old skier with a knee injury, who was been transported to the Chamonix emergency Hospital.
Then in Les Grands Montets ski area, a 37-year-old skier suffered an abdominal trauma after a fall on a ski; the medical team decided to helicopter him to Sallanches Hospital.
According to Le Dauphiné, the day continued with an intervention in the Balme ski area. A victim of a head trauma, a 54-year-old snowboarder was also evacuated to the Sallanches Hospital center.
Finally two 55-year-old men who practiced off-piste skiing near Vallorcine found themselves blocked by rock bars, they were evacuated by the Civil Security helicopter and dropped off at the air base.
