Spanish ultra-trailer Pau Capell, winner in 2019 of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, has officially announced his participation in the UTMB® Mont-Blanc 2022 in Chamonix.
Winner of the TDS in 2016, 6th of the 2017 UTMB and 3rd of the CCC last year, Pau Capell will be back this year and will, for sure, try his best to win.
We remind you that the UTMB® is to take place from 22 to 28 August 2022.
Pau Capell announced his provisional calendar of races
After a 2020 marked by successive cancellations and a failed attempt at a "record" on the UTMB solo, a 2021 season disrupted by injuries, Pau Capell announced yesterday Monday 17 January his provisional calendar of races for 2022.
Capell has built himself a 2022 with five ultras on the program: he will start with the Transgrancanaria (128 km, 4-6 March, Spain) before continuing with the Patagonia Run (160 km, 7-9 April, Argentina), Lavaredo (125 km, 23 June, Italy), UTMB (170 km, 26 August) and Ultra Pirineu (110 km, 1-2 October, Spain) to finish.
