Climbing World Cup in Chamonix from 8 to 10 July 2022

After the cancellation of the event in 2020 and a special edition in 2021 due to the sanitary situation, this year the Climbing World Cup will be free and will take place from 8 to 10 July 2022 at the Place du Mont-Blanc, in Chamonix.

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is a must among the principal events in the world of climbing and will again be the host of a new World Cup Climbing event.

On an artificial structure, the climbing wall is placed outside, at the foot of Mont Blanc massif. A common desire shared by the town of Chamonix and by the organizers so that everyone can benefit from the rare and exceptional panorama offered by the Mont-Blanc range.

In the program: concerts, film screenings, public animations, partner stands, and the very attendant World Cup Climbing speed and difficulty trials.

New this year

This year during the Climbing World Cup, screenings of mountain films will take place on the 3 days of the event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will be around 3 different themes:

  • We traveled the Earth: mountain biking, trail running, hiking, cycling;
  • Land of ice: skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, skating;
  • Between sky and Earth: climbing, paragliding, base jumping, wingsuit;

The Climbing World Cup : a responsible event
