The cycle route along the Bois du Bouchet is operational

The cycle route linking the town center of Chamonix to the Hotel de l'Arveyron is now operational.

A new cycle route that crosses the Bois du Bouchet and runs along the departmental road is open

Chamoniards can reach the Arveyron bridge from the cross-country ski center via a secure 1.6 kilometer cycle route.

This route now makes it possible to connect the town center to Les Praz without almost never venturing into the road traffic.

From Place du Mont-Blanc (now under renovation), cyclists can reach the route by following the Arve, then taking Avenue de la Plage to the cross-country ski center roundabout (or Microbrewery for the thirstiest), starting point of the new cycling section.

In addition, the Route des Lacs having been renovated before the summer, cyclists can now, almost without danger, reach Les Tines.

But the development of cycling in the Chamonix valley still comes up against the topographical difficulties of the rest of the valley: joining Servoz and Vallorcine still requires mixing with road traffic and demonstrating good physical condition. But notable progress is indeed to be noted.

It is now necessary for the technical services to regularly clear the snow from these cycle routes, so that even in winter, cycling becomes a reflex.
