On Saturday 4 February 2023, the Chamonix High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) carried out six rescue operations.
The rescue operations:
At 10:30 a.m., the Chamonix PGHM intervened in the Contamines ski area for a 70-year-old man who was injured in his upper limbs after a collision with another skier. He was transported to the Sallanches hospital center.
Later, the gendarmes intervened in Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce to help a skier in her thirties who had fallen.
At 11:20 a.m., a 40-year-old man injured his lower limbs in a fall on skis in the Vallée Blanche in Chamonix.
In the early afternoon, the military rescuers airlifted a woman in her twenties who injured her leg on the Grand-Bornand ski area.
A skier was found stuck in a rocky bar, unharmed, around 3 p.m. at the Grands Montets ski resort.
At the end of the day, the gendarmes returned to the Contamines to rescue a young boy who injured his back while practicing ski jumping.
