Last Saturday, the new altitude of Mont Blanc was revealed: 4810 metres and 20 centimeters. A new measurement of the height of Mont Blanc was done this weekend. Surveyors from Haute-Savoie revealed that Mont Blanc has melted by 25cm, compared to the last measurement taken in 2009, of 4810.45m. Every 2 years over the last 10 years the height of Mont Blanc has been checked, and the surveys show that the Mont Blanc range goes up and down, with a difference that can exceed 2 metres at times. But for now, the new height is... 4810.20 metres!
