Yesterday around 15:00 there was a small vehicle fire in the Mont Blanc Tunnel. The vehicle was stopped by the emergency barriers just before the French exit. The fire was immediately put out by the tunnel security crew. The Chamonix firemen still came to the scene to make sure that the fire was under control. As for traffic flow, the tunnel was closed for 45 minutes and resumed as usual at 15:50.
