23 Septembre 2015. According to ski areas ranking, France has become, once again, world's first ski destination just above the United States and Austria.
It was a steady season despite snow accident on early winter. With 53.9 million ski passes sold during 2014/2015 season, France maintains its first position on the top of the best ski resorts, announced Domaines Skiables de France (DSF) in their recent press release issued on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.

In winter 2014-2015, about 53.9 million skiers have chosen French Massif resorts for their holidays, that means 2.7% less than previous winter. However, these figures do not stop France to overcome United States, who suffered a decline even more pronounced (-5.2%), only 53.6 million skiers registered in the US massive. On the same podium, third position this time, we find Austria, which brought together 51.8 mil people on its ski areas.
