Cross-country skiing: Haute-Savoie and Chamonix are Opening on 5-6 December

From the weekend of 5-6 December onwards, the Haut-Savoyard Nordic skiing areas will be accessible to all, in compliance with general health rules and in particular the "20 km / 3 hours" restriction.

Take out the cross-country skis, and get ready to enjoy the best of Haute-Savoie!

The Haute-Savoie prefecture has just made it official: cross-country skiers will be able to get on the track!

In addition to high-level athletes (without restriction), young people from clubs (respecting the 20 km and 3 hours rules), schoolchildren and the general public (20 km and 3 hours rules apply) will also be able to ski in the Nordic Haute-Savoie areas.

Some of the off-piste areas will open this weekend, with snowfall expected again on Friday, 4 December.

According to Haute-Savoie Nordic, the areas of Glières, Contamines, Grand Bornand and Confins La Clusaz should be accessible.

Following the validation of these areas, other Nordic areas could open this weekend as well, according to a press release from Haute-Savoie Nordic.

The domain of Glières was accessible last weekend, only for high-level athletes, pending the famous decree.
