Holders of a Mont-Blanc Unlimited annual skipass are generally aware of the many advantages that this pass offers them. Preferential rates at the Chamonix’s Vox Cinema, at the Mont-Blanc Tunnel and, above all, free public transport.
But a new advantage has been added to this list of Chamonix's small privileges. From now on, the free Mont-Blanc Express covers the entire portion of the rail line between Vallorcine and Le Fayet. Previously, it stopped at Servoz, on the edge of the community of communes of the Chamonix valley. Holders of an MBU pass therefore had to pay for a train ticket between Servoz and Le Fayet. An obvious obstacle of using the Mont-Blanc Express to reach the start of the Mont-Blanc Tramway.
The mountain railway line must therefore become the preferred means of transport to take the legendary tramway. Note that for people who have purchased an MBU pass, they also benefit from free travel on the buses between Chamonix and Les Houches.
