From 1 November 2012, "Euro2" class heavy goods vehicles (circulating before 1 October 2001, except vehicles meeting Euro 3 equivalent emission standards) will be prohibited in the Mont-Blanc Tunnel. The decision comes as part of planned measures to protect the air quality in the Arve Valley.
