The D1506 road over the Col des Montets is closed due to high risk of avalanche.
We are monitoring the status of the road and will update this page when it re-opens.
Access is possible via the railway (and road) tunnel, which was opened to traffic on Sunday, January 31. Passage through the tunnel is regulated by an automated barrier ensuring 100m separation between vehicles.
Power to the third rail is cut while road vehicles use the tunnel.
