Chamonix's Guillermo aimes for first in AUDI FIS SKI WORLD CUP!

After a long-awaited return, the Kandahar 2016 is to take place on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 February, on the dedicated  "La Verte des Houches" slope. Preparation of the snow to create a hard fast surface is already well advanced.

Guillermo Fayed the pride of Chamonix, 3rd in the Downhill 2015 Alpine World Cup, is our local hero competing in the Kandahar at the AUDI FIS SKI WORLD CUP 2016 this weekend!

Introducing Guillermo:

- Born in Chamonix on 28 November 1985
- EMHM - C.S. Chamonix;
- Member of Team Chamonix Mont-Blanc;
- Member of Team France Speed A.

Guillermo has been competing in the Men's Downhill World Cup since 2005, placing 144 in his debutant year. In 2014 he placed 64 overall. Last year he placed third in the downhill at the end at the season and this year his form continues to be really good. In the four downhill events so far this season, he has placed third twice and second twice. Guillermo has never won a downhill World Cup event. On Saturday, Guillermo competes on his home slope with thousands of supporters to see him take his first World Cup victory. Be there! This is Chamonix history in the making!!!
