Today, Wednesday 8 February 2017, there is plenty of snow in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, and up on the mountains.
In Chamonix centre town the snow depths are around 20-30cm and in the mid mountain the snow depths reach 40-70cm, offering great skiing conditions this week.

The avalanche risk has gone up to 3/5 (Considerable). Avalanche danger remains pretty high outside of the controlled ski areas right now, with all the new snow and wind-loading.
The weather is set to continue unstable. Off-piste skiing not supervised by mountain professionals is strongly discouraged, until conditions stabilize.
