Sunday, around 12h, a party of 3 south-korean climbers that were climbing the Walker Spur on the North Face of the Grandes Jorasses, called the PGHM Chamonix and gave the alert. According with the PGHM they were progressing very slowly. On Sunday they had climb only 400m of the route (1000m total). When the bad weather arrived, they decided to abseil inside the route. This operations is long and demands a lot of concentration. During one of this abseils, one of the 3 climbers (47 years old), fell from 400m high. The PGHM says that "Or one belay came lose or the rope wasn't on the right place". The other 2 climbers were rescued by the PGHM with no injuries but they were in shock. 13,4 kg of 'khat' apprehended on the Tunnel du Mont Blanc The Chamonix Gendarmes have arrested a somali person, last friday at 4.30h am, when he tried to cross the Tunnel du Mont Blanc with 13,4 kg de 'khat', a plant that has the same effects as the cocaine plant. The gendarmes let him go free, but he will be presented to court later this week. Crash between a car and a camping car in the Bossons road The accident happened friday at 20.05h at the Bossons road, between Chamonix and Les Houches.
