Body of lost climber found

Pascal Ringenbach, a 46 year old climber from Alsace, left his car in the Aiguille du Midi parking on Sunday October 14th. He then took the téléphérique, with the intention of climbing Mont Blanc. After completing the route by the "Three Summits", construction workers of the new Refuge de Gouter saw him in the area of the refuge on the Monday & Tuesday. Pascal even stayed in the winter refuge, & some of his possessions were found there by the PGHM. He was seen alive for the last time around the refuge on the night of Tuesday October 16, and this weekend, the PGHM found his remains nearby. Credit Le Dauphiné
