Today cost of the French 2018 Olympic bid will be revealed, and it seems that the balance sheet will be positive. While a deficit of 463 000 euros was expected for the Annecy 2018 bid, the mechanism for contributing companies to recover their VAT appears to have left a surplus of around 300,000 euros. This amount will be shared between the five members of the Economic Interest Group of the bid: the city of Annecy, the Department of Haute Savoie (General Council), the Rhône-Alpes, the CNOSF (National Olympic Committee French) , and the French state.
