Interview with Blaise Giezendanner

You came close to an Olympic medal, 2nd passing the line and finally 4th. How have you experienced it?

"I know I had a good run when I passed the line, even if its more easy to say that after... when I was in front of Svindal, there I thought that (the medal) is possible... At that moment, one just does not think about the others who have yet to pass."

Is it frustrating?

"In fact, it's like in Kitzbühel, I have no regrets on my run, I showed what I could do... I'll probably have it tonight in my bed! "

How was waiting?

"I did not realize that I could take a medal... I did not count the guys who stayed in. When I was third... I did not know who else was left, and then I finish 4th... it's sport."

Did you feel that it was a good day for you?

"In super-G it's hard to say, you can have great feelings and not go fast, and the opposite too, I felt good, like two years ago (8th pre-Olympic), I left with the same intentions, I had good feelings."

If you had been told a month ago that you'll be ranked fourth at the Olympics, what would you have thought?

"Even if it had been said to me four days ago, or six months ago when I was on crutches, I would have answered that already going to the Olympic Games was a success, I can only take it positively, it will be useful for the future, that's for sure."
