Chamonix: Creation of a Digital CarSharing Platform

The major public transport group operating in the Rhone Alpes region, the Transdev Rhône-Alpes Interurbain company, in collaboration with "One Blip" a new carsharing concept from Australia, plan to create a digital carsharing platform in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley.

One Blip is based on an electronic system with a mobile application that allows you to open the car without key exchange.

A peer-to-peer sharing community platform enabling people to share their cars with trusted members of the community. You can also decide to restrict your car's accessibility to your friends only.

The originality of the project is that One Blip proposes to everyone: individuals, companies, communities to create its own carsharing platform.

MO2 - Mountain & Mobility: Eco-mobility in mountain area

In Chamonix, the objective is to give priority to public transport and sustainable mobility.

There is free public transport for residents and visitors in Chamonix. The numerous bus lines and the electric bus "Le Mulet" enable you to to move freely around the Chamonix centre. Aware that this offer does not respond to all the travel needs, Transdev Rhône-Alpes Interurbain wants to test its carsharing project.

There will be available cars for sharing in Chamonix. This service would cost you less than €10 per hour, and a daily rate would be applied for more than 5 hours, about €40 per day.

The system operates through a free and secured mobile application that allows you to reserve, open and close the vehicle, using an embedded electronic system in the car.
