Ultimate verdict: The Safety Commission officially expressed their agreement on the opening of the Goûter Refuge for the 2015 summer season.
The Fédération Française des Clubs Alpins et de Montagne (FFCAM) agrees to implement all safety measures required, and from early June 2015 the Refuge du Gouter Hut will host the guides and climbers from all around the world.
The final decision has been taken as the eight separate guiding organisations have come together to sign an agreement that would ensure the safety of the 120 people at more than 3800m altitude.
However, the departmental safety committee will still make some inspections during the summer season, to ensure that FFCAM is taking into account all safety requirements.
The Refuge opening, as planned on 1st June 2015!
