Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September 2018, is to take place La Cordeé Cyclo, a special event for road cyclists.
La Cordeé Cyclo is an event where you can ride together in teams of two over two stages for a whole weekend.
At the foot of Mont Blanc, in the heart of the mountains, La Cordée will take you along the mythical coasts and passes of the Arve valley and the Aravis massif.
Participants are free to choose their own pace on flat sections and descents. Between the timed sections, cyclists can ride together, admire the mountain scenery and share beautiful cycling moments. Only the climbs will be timed!
Teams are free to have their own style and strategy, the objective for them is to enjoy the ride and perform over the hills and climbs of Haute Savoie.
The race has a short format, not too demanding but long enough to really appreciate this mountain panorama.
Two Stages
Stage 1
The 1st stage will take place in Vallée de Passy with some famous hill that will offer various routes with views on Mont Blanc.
In total 72km with 3 timed sections uphill. A total of 2000m of positive elevation.
Stage 2
The 2nd stage of La Cordée Cyclo will be the most challenging one.
A magnificent loop starting from Passy and to ride around the Aravis mountains. At the end of Plateau d'Assy you will have an amazing view in front of the Mont Blanc massif
In total 126km and 3000m of altitude are waiting for you with 4 sections timed uphill.
The first km will allow the peloton to stretch the legs and share, because it is 22km flat (slightly downhill) that will take you from Passy to Cluses.
Subscription
In order to participate, you must be in a team of two cyclists. If you do not have a teammate, you can find one on the website. Send your name and date of birth so you can see a list to find a partner for your race.
Several categories are possible: Male/Male, Female/Female or Mixt. The cost by a person is 95 Euros (190 Euros for a team).
For all female cyclists, the cost is reduced to 50 Euros (100 Euros for the feminine duo).
Subscribing costs includes:
- Pasta dinner on Saturday evening;
- A meal on Sunday after stage 2;
- Welcome coffee on Saturday;
- All food stations during the 2 stages;
- Surprise present upon arrival;
- Medical assistance;
- Security moto.
