Triple winner of this mountain-ultramarathon, the Catalan Kilian Jornet will return to Chamonix for the UTMB which is to take place from 27th August to 2nd September 2018
According to lequipe.fr, Kilian Jornet will be on the starting line of the 2018 edition of the Ultra Trail of Mont Blanc, for the 6th time in his career.

Note: François D'haene, winner of the UTMB 2017, will not participate this year at the UTMB.
UTMB: the 2018 Elite athlete list
Thursday 1st March 2018, was published the 2018 Elite athlete list.
Alongside the Spanish legend Kilian Jornet, will be:
His compatriot Luis Alberto Hernando, double Trail World Champion and triple winner of Transvulcania.
The American athletes Jim Walmsley (ranked 5th in 2017), Hayden Hawks (ranked 1st at CCC in 2017), Zach Miller (ranked 8th at UTMB 2017) and Tim Tollefson (ranked 3rd at the UTMB in 2017).
The French athletes Xavier Thevenard (winner of the 2013 and 2015 edition), Sylvain Court, Michel Lanne and Sébastien Camus.

The French Caroline Chaverot, who was forced to retire the last edition, will be this year on the starting line.
You can also note the return of Nuria Picas winner in 2017 and the Swiss Andrea Huser 2nd last year and winner of the Ultra Trail World Tour.
