On 10th August 2015, the Korean sportswear brand NEPA has opened its flagship store in Chamonix, Mont-Blanc, looking to develop products fit for local European customers and newly emerge as a global brand.
NEPA is the first Korean outdoor brand to operate a store in Chamonix, the commune renowned for its alpine skiing, for hosting the first Winter Olympics in 1924 and the first Winter Universiade in 1960. Considered “the holy land of outdoor equipment”, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc was the perfect target for the company expansion. It is worth noting that even the location was not chosen by chance. Nepa’s new store was established on the pedestrian street in the town centre (Dr. Paccard street) by remodelling "Le Chouca" pub, one of Chamonix's legendary bars in which climbers around the globe came and shared information.
The new store, divided in 3 floors, two aboveground and one underground, has the atmosphere of a mountain city with lots of items on sale: outdoor apparel, accessories, children’s products...all arranged with admirable accuracy.
The company is planning to further expand its activity into other major European cities, paving new sales routes and promoting its Europe-tailored products across the region.
Meanwhile, if you're in the area, take some time and come see the new arrivals in Chamonix's store.
