It was an almost historic visit, when the Chamonix Military Mountain School (EMHM) was visited the last time by a Chief of Staff, it was in 1986. Army General Elrick Irastorza was this last Tuesday at the school EMHM to meet the athletes members of the France team who participated in the last Olympics, in Vancouver. He also recalled all the benefits of having such expertise taught at the EMHM for the Army. A know-how that is now proving itself in Afghanistan, but also reassures the EMHM about its future.
