Haute-Savoie: Spectacular Video of Soul Flyers Base Jump

Base Jumpers Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet offer breathtaking images while they base jump from the Haute-Savoie summits!

The two members of the Soul Flyers followed the restrictions to the letter - they did not exceed 100 km (62.13 mi) from their homes to do what they love most: base jumping.

After two months in confinement, base jumpers Vince Reffet and Fred Fugen offered themselves a few flying sessions.

And the confinement was definitely not easy on the two base jumpers, who usually spend a great part of their time in the air. "For two months, we couldn't do anything when we had a lot of stuff done during this period. So during the confinement, we said to ourselves that once finished, it would be really cool to be able to go and do new jumps in the area", declared base jumper Fred Fugen.

The two Haut-Savoyard wingsuit flight specialists took advantage of the deconfinement to rediscover Haute-Savoie in their own way. Of course, respecting the law. "With progressive deconfinement, we have never skimmed our home playground and we did so much in the mountains," says Fred Fugen. "In a radius of 100 km around our home, in the heart of Haute-Savoie, we discovered incredible spots", adds Vince Reffet.

In less than two weeks, the Soul Flyers made many jumps, at the rate of about two per day. "We usually made a small jump, which took us between half an hour and an hour, and a larger one which took us between two hours and five hours. Often, we did the big one in the morning and the small one in the afternoon."

Beautiful spots, which they went looking for, sometimes for five hours of walking with crampons and ice axes to cross some glacial areas. But watching the video one can see that the two base jumpers from Haute-Savoie truly enjoyed their expedition.
