The closure of the Aiguille du Midi cable car for the past seven months has had direct consequence of keeping the doors closed of the Cosmiques Hut.
One of the most unreachable refuges in the Mont Blanc Massif without the iconic cable car from Chamonix, the Cosmiques Hut and his keepers Mel and Noah were waiting for only one thing, the resumption of the ascent of the cable car. Since this Wednesday 19 May, iis a fact, after a long shovelling, the Hut situated at an altitude of 3,613m was able to be reopened to the public Saturday 22 May.
And even if the snow conditions remain particularly delicate and the wind regularly blows in storms, the hut-keepers will welcome with a big smile behind their mask, the motivated mountaineers.
